MELISSA CHAPMAN- Administrative Coordinator

This is Melissa's second year as a Woodbine Warriors coordinator and her 7th year having swimmers on the team! Melissa has two swimmers on the team: Pierce (13) and Skylar (10). She participated in her neighborhood swim team as a child and worked as a lifeguard during high school. Melissa is excited to be a part of the leadership team for the 2026 swim season!

AMY EVANS-  Banquet Coordinator

This is Amy's 2nd year as a member of the Woodbine Warriors leadership team. Amy and her husband, Richard love living in Woodbine and have an extensive "family" of Woodbine swimmers (looking at you Chapmans, Newtons, and Koehlingers), and their son, Canon (16) is excited to serve as Assistant Head Coach this season. They also have a daughter, Ansley (14), who will be poolside to cheer on our swimmers. Amy is most often found over the bridge on the tennis courts, but looks forward to supporting the swim team each year!

PAIGE HAPPE- Coach Coordinator

This is Paige's second year as the coaching coordinator and 14th with a child on the swim team. Her daughter Alex is in college now at GSCU, but her son Gabriel is looking forward to another summer with the Woodbine Warriors. Paige was a year round swimmer growing up in Gwinnett Co, but her fondest swim team memories are from her summer league, the Snellville Supersonics, where she swam and coached later through high school and college. She is looking forward to another fun swim season with a great coaching staff!

AMY CORTEZ- Concessions Coordinator

Amy has been coordinating the Woodbine Warriors Concessions for many summers now. She couldn't do it without her husband Brian, who handles the grilling, and others who help. While Amy loves the sun and the pool, she leaves the competitive swimming to daughter Zoe, who is an assistant coach this year. 

CAROL TEFFT- Financial Coordinator

This is Carol's eighth year as a Woodbine Coordinator, but long time resident of Woodbine Station.  She was a year round swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor growing up. Carol is excited to be a member of the leadership team for the 2026 summer swim season!

GINNY VELAZQUEZ- Volunteer Coordinator

After volunteering at every meet last summer, Ginny has joined the team as volunteer coordinator. She grew up swimming on the Gulf coast and was a lifeguard in college. Now Ginny is training for an international open water swim! 

GINNY BARBER- Social Media Coordinator

This is Ginny's 13th year having swimmers on the Woodbine team. Ginny's oldest daughter, Evelyn, was head coach 2 years ago and currently a student at UNG.  Her youngest daughter Maddie is assistant coach this year and a rising junior at Lassiter. She is looking forward to the year ahead, and keeping all the excitement posted on Facebook and Instagram.
